「mizzen (ミゼン) 」は、大量に捨てられているヨット用帆布を目の当たりにした船大工が、ヨット用帆布に第二の価値を与えるべく立ち上げた循環型バッグブランドです。

強い、だけじゃない。

mizzen の素材は、捨てられていたヨットのセール生地を使用。雨、風など様々な自然環境の中でも耐えられるように作られている素材は、「軽さ」と「丈夫さ」の双方の利点を持ち合わせています。完全防水ではないですが、通気性に優れ、水洗いも可能です。

We have more than enough material

Our lives are already overflowing with more than enough things we need. In fact, you could even say that we have more unnecessary items than necessary ones. These unwanted objects end up as trash, drifting in the sea. Even the beautiful coastlines of the Seto Inland Sea, where we live, are marred by large amounts of garbage, diminishing their beauty. The sailcloth that serves as the material for these bags is one such item.

As people who live alongside the sea, by creating these bags, we hope to encourage people to reflect on something that is gradually being lost from our collective consciousness - the question of what we should be living in harmony with. It might sound a bit grandiose, but we want to take a fresh look at the importance of living in coexistence with precious nature.
